====== Lightning Parrot ======

I just heard about the goings on at [[http://www.yapceurope2008.org/ye2008/|YAPC]] (yet another Perl conference) Europe, 2008, in Copenhagen earlier this month. [[http://www.yapceurope2008.org/ye2008/user/1692|Patrick Michaud]] gave a lightning talk on LOLCODE in Perl 6's [[news:i-haz-a-parrot|Parrot]]. Not only did he give a great overview of LOLCODE ([[http://lolcode.com/specs/1.2|v. 1.2]]), he gave a live demo of code translation from Perl (and, potentially, other languages) to LOLCODE via Parrot.
