As [[http://www.istartedsomething.com/20070809/teched-day-2-lolcode/|Long Zheng reports]]: > At the [[http://www.microsoft.com/australia/teched/|Microsoft TechEd 2007 Conference in Australia]], Microsoft shook the entire cheezburger industry today when it announced official support for the [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolcode|LOLCode programming language]] in favor over C#. In an attempt to appeal to younger and more cat-loving programmers. The next release of [[http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/|Visual Studio]], renamed to “Cheezburger Studio” will only support LOLCode to increase (kitten) adoption rates. The new LOLCode debugger, dubbed “Cheezburgler” is said to make programming “delicious”. > (The [[http://www.istartedsomething.com/20070809/teched-day-2-lolcode/|full report]] includes [[http://www.flickr.com/photos/longzheng/1057284593/in/set-72157601275195109/|many more photos]] and more news on this groundbreaking announcement). I am truly honored to see Microsoft embracing this new technology. As history has shown, it augurs great things for the language.
