====== There's More Than One Way To Do It meets UR DOIN IT RONG ====== LOLCODE has been getting a lot of love from the Parrot community. First, the O'Reilly blog network reported on the rapidly expanding LOLCODE-Parrot implementation as a year-end holiday activity. Now comes the news that LOLCODE has been integrated into Parrot 0.5.2. When this whole thing started last May, I kept saying that I envisaged LOLCODE as a teaching language. What I hadn't expected was seeing it come up everywhere as a teaching tool for compiler/interpreter writers. .NET, DLR, and now Parrot seem to have adopted LOLCODE in part for teaching how to parse a new language. Cool. (Incidentally, the above badge is a little treat to those of you out there who bookmark this site on your iPhone or iPod touch.)
