I like it. Things sometimes read better with an article, even if not strictly needed. Treating it as whitespace should be easy enough. Plus it's more Lolish.

Depending on the scope rules involved… TEH should be used to refer to an outer (or global) variable as opposed to a local one. There might be many rings (one in every local block), but there's only one TEH ring (the global one).
