- Visual H4×1c is clearly a predecessor to LOLCODE by Jens Alfke.

- An old hero of mine, Greg Costikyan, had some kind words and made a promise he well may regret making, considering the exploding number of implementations.
- The Machine Project art gallery is planning a workshop on LOLCODE as a way of introducing basic programming concepts.
